Exploring New Subjects

What new things are you trying lately?

Usually, I am a painter of musicians and music related works. Sometimes fitness or running subjects slip in there too. I suppose it is a way for me to express myself and tie my varied interests together to use my art to study my music and my fitness worlds.

Over the past few months, I’ve been inspired by beautiful sights while hiking in the Hudson Valley New York area, and by the wildlife in St. Croix where I snorkeled over the Christmas holiday. This made me want to try my hand at landscapes and animals. I figured it wouldn’t have the same perfection risk (That does NOT look like Uncle Paul!) and it would be relaxing. I was never interested in landscape and nature art or abstract art for the same reasons I was never interested in yoga or golf. Seemed too easy and seemed boring. I was very wrong on all accounts. Yoga, Golf, Abstracts, Landscapes, Animals are all very challenging and anything but boring. See, you never know until you try. I did, however, find this diversion to be fun and relaxing. Anyway, I wanted to share with you my latest works of animals and landscapes.

Let me know what you think and if you’re interested in acquiring any of them.
